How to find good internet marketing information

free ebooks, make money, make money on the web 1 Comment »

Most people who start with internet marketing have the tendency to buy all kinds of products and spend a lot of  money. Some even max out their creditcard while searching for the "silver bullet". This is not necessary.

In this post I will give you 7 whitehat tips to find good marketing information on the internet for free.

Tip 1: The Free Giveaway

Search with Google using the following query:
Free Giveaway Rights filetype:pdf

This will give you ebooks that contain paragraphs like:

Congratulations – You Get FREE Giveaway Rights To This Entire Ebook
You have full giveaway rights to this ebook.
You may give away or include this as a bonus in any product and membership site.

Of course, these ebooks are not the top notch products of the market, but they do contain valuable information.

Here’s a little secret: The owner of the website uses these ebooks to build trust with their visitors, so they will stay on the website and buy products.

Tip 2: Subscribe yourself to ViralUrl.com

This way you get 10 (no more than that) new emails everyday with all kinds of offers, free pdfs, product offers, etc.
You can subscribe yourself here. You can easily unsubscribe from getting these emails again.

Tip 3: Sign up with SureFireWealth.com

You’ll get 298 free ebooks to download, just for signing up! And many of them even have resell rights! Sign up here.

Tip 4: Sign up with websites that have a free membership

This will give you tons of information; free tools, free ebooks, interesting articles, etc. etc.

Tip 5: Sign up with websites that give you free ebooks

Search with Google using the following query:
free report here receive signup

Some of the links will be from websites that give you a free ebook if you sign up. If you do, better use a new, separate email address, because you will be given lots of offers. This can fill up your mailbox too much.
Also, if you have signed up with ViralUrl.com, you will receive a lot of emails. If you click the links in the emails, sign up with the websites they lead you to, you will mostly get a free product, just for signing up. The down part is that you will get more emails. Although you can always unsubscribe, so you’ll stop receiving them.

Tip 6: Join affiliate programs

After you’ve joined a website for free, join the affiliate program. Often you will get an extra free product or a membership to another website that normally costs tens to hundreds of dollars. On some sites it’s possible to join the affiliate program without becoming a member.

Tip 7: Read the internet marketing forums

These are forums about making money on the internet in various ways.
Some of the forums have members that are successful internet marketers / enterpreneurs themselves.

I like her statement:

“ When I discovered Internet Marketing I had never seen an industry that could give so much, so fast, yet for some, could practically swallow them whole. “

“ It would overwhelm with information, allow them to buy things they didn’t
need, cause them to lose focus, waste time, and get frustrated never
being able to make it work like everyone else did. “

I totally agree with this. I think she is sincere in her desire to take newbies by the hand and teach them step by step.

The content of the pdf is about the 7 Critical Blocks to Building Your Internet Marketing Empire.

The seven building blocks are:
1. Identify a niche market
2. Test the idea to see if it will be profitable
3. Create a Landing Page.
4. Write the sales Page
5. Create the Product (usually an ebook – or a membership
site)
6. Create a Traffic Hurricane
7. Maximize Your Marketing Funnel

My opinion:
I think it’s a good manual to get started with internet marketing.

Which money making site should I (not) join?

Uncategorized No Comments »

One of the questions I ask myself since I started my quest to earn money on the internet:
"Which money making site should I join?"
I found a few answers. Here they come.

Investigate the website
One thing you have to look out for when buying a product is "scams". If you don’t know what scams are, read this: http://www.squidoo.com/mlm_scams

You’ll need some sherlock holmes qualities and common sense for these.

- Google the website. Example: let’s say you see an interesting website.
Search in google: interestingwebsite.com scam
You might find information from people that complain about the website, but also people that have had bad experiences with the site.
- Do they sell a product?, or are they only selling you an opportunity to get other people join you?

Check scam information sites
Here’s a few good sites that tell you if programs are legitimate or not. Hover over the links to see a description.

My online internet marketing experiences Part 1

make money, make money on the web No Comments »

This is the first in a series of articles I want to share with you about my experiences in making money on the web. For the other articles, see:
My online internet marketing experiences Part 2
My online internet marketing experiences Part 3
My online internet marketing experiences Part 4

At august 9, 2008 I set my first steps in the internet marketing world. A friend of mine tipped me about MLM. I was interested. I started reading and reading and reading.

I bought my first product a month later;

- Adsense Secrets 4: "What Google Never Told You About Making Money With AdSense", 4th edition for $9.95.
Right now, it’s for free… I bought this product because the number of pages of the book was quite large (234).

I used TiddlyWiki to keep all the information I found. (See my previous post about TiddlyWiki: Keep track of information with TiddlyWiki). I tagged the information, organised it, reorganised it. I kept all the links to the websites I found, and for every site I wrote a little description so that I would know what it was about later.

From the beginning, I was very careful about starting something that wasn’t going to live up to its promise. I quickly found out that the internet was full of sites that promise you lots and lots of money in a short time.

I read about all kinds of ways to make money:

  • Affiliate marketing (sell products for others)
  • Article Marketing (write articles to sell products)
  • GPT (Get Paid To = review products, fill in surveys, watch advertisements while surfing)
  • Forum Marketing
  • MLM (Multi Level Marketing or Network Marketing is a business-distribution model that allows a parent company to market its products directly to consumers by means of relationship referrals and direct selling.)
  • PPC (Pay Per Click = If someone visits an advertisement on your site, you get paid)
  • AdSense (Advertisements from google, if someone clicks on them, you get paid)
  • AdWords (The advertisements of the advertisers from Google)
  • Auction Stuff on eBay
  • Blog for $$$ (put advertisements on your blog that people click on, or sell products, so you receive money)
  • Stock market
  • Troubleshoot PCs online
  • Ponzi schemes (make money because people who join after you pay you)

I also read a lot of stories from people that were disillusioned in some way. People that spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars to find the latest and best way to become rich.

I further found out that a lot of products that are sold on one site for dollars, on the next site are being offered for free.

I quickly got tired with the screaming marketing sites, using all kinds of different font sizes, pictures of dollar bills, expensive cars, happy looking people, pictures of their profits. I didn’t know whether I could trust any site.

Right now, I’m setting up my website. I bought this domain at bluehost.com, installed Wordpress, added some plugins. I also want to make my website enjoyable, and offer good quality stuff, free or not.

A few plans that I have with this website:

  • Offer products, free and paid
  • Offering product reviews
  • Offering MLM site reviews
  • Joining a good MLM company that has a good mentoring program
  • Make money as an affiliate

White hat internet marketer

Uncategorized No Comments »

I see myself as a “white hat” internet marketer. I want my information to be helpful and valuable for everyone who reads it. I want to do internet marketing without:

- squeeze pages
- screaming sales pages
- selling people products I can’t stand behind
- empty promises of being able to earn millions in no time.

"White hat" as opposed to "Black hat" means:

  • A "White hat" website follows all the search engine rules. It has content that adds value for people who read it.
  • A "Black hat" site uses many dirty / shady techniques:
    - Copying content from other pages.
    - Dynamically generating content using software.

The goal of a white hat marketer is to make money by creating real content that is valuable, while the black hat marketer is only trying to earn money, whatever means necessary.

Understandably, the search engines are not happy with these "Black hat" sites. They fill up their search results with "rubbish" that users hate.

"The perfect search engine," says Google co-founder Larry Page, "would understand exactly what you mean and give back exactly what you want."  (Source)

The most important thing google or other search engines want is to provide high quality results.

So my opinion is that attempts to fool people or search services online will only backfire in the long run.

Keep track of information with TiddlyWiki

tiddlywiki No Comments »

When you start with internet marketing, you encounter an incredible amount of information:

- Websites that beg you to accept their offer.
- Tools you need.
- Marketing sites.
- Pdf files telling you about ways to make money.

You need a way to keep track of all this information. You make notes about a website or document; is it good? is it a scam?

I’ve tried a lot of ways to keep my notes, favorites, websites, links, etc. in one place.

  • Text files
  •  Evernote
  • Onenote
  • Put it on the web
  • Use an online Wiki
  • Make Email folders
  • Hierarchical file folders
  • Del.icio.us
  • Put it in Gmail

And many, many more. All these ways were unsatisfactory:

- To access the info I usually needed to install a tool, whether on the client or on the server.
- Online tools could not always be reached when I didn’t have an internet connection.
- If I posted too much information I wouldn’t be able to find it back.

For myself, I solved this problem by using a free tool, Tiddlywiki. It’s a personal notebook. It is a single self-contained HTML file that includes CSS and JavaScript code. When the user downloads it to their PC, TiddlyWiki can save the entered information by overwriting itself on the user’s disk, at the user’s request. Following TiddlyWiki conventions, users can make a new entry, called a tiddler, in their local copy of the TiddlyWiki file and save it for future reference. Existing tiddlers can also be modified or deleted in the same way. Because it runs under most browsers and requires no installation, it can be easily used as a portable personal wiki.

TiddlyWiki is very adaptable, it has plugins (addons) that make you organize your information in every way possible.

I use tiddlythemes.com/empties/D3Gtd.html for:

  • storing account info
  • keeping TODO lists
  • linking topics to each other
  • storing website links with descriptive information
  • describing the contents of pdfs I downloaded
  • tagging pieces of information, so I can find them back by category

But people use it for all kinds of things.

See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TiddlyWiki for more information.

Try it!
