In the third part I told you about my experiences with Project Quick Cash and phpBay Pro. In this part I will tell you about my experiences with TrafficSwarm.

My experiences with TrafficSwarm
TrafficSwarm promises live, targeted traffic. Basically this is how it works: You make an advertisement that is shown a specified number of times to other members of TrafficSwarm. The number of times it is shown depends on how much credits you put into it, and how many people you have in your downline. If you become a pro member, you get a certain number of credits per month included in the membership. You can buy credits for money. You, can also stay a free member, in which case your advertisements are shown less.

At first I tried to make an advertisement for Project Quick Cash. But it was refused, because the website of Project Quick Cash uses 1 popup…  Major setback… I was not aware of this when I started, so I found out the hard way.

Anyway, I decided to persist. I ran a few other ads for a couple of affiliate programs, but removed them later.

At 30-03-2009 I bought 5000 credits for $75, and because I became a pro member ($30 / month), I got 5000 free. I set up 9 advertisements, all for Wealthy Affiliate. Results so far?
 

 
Pretty depressing, right? I still can’t figure out why the sales are 0. Maybe the traffic isn’t "targeted" enough? Maybe people see that they’re sent by an affiliate link, and delete the id part of the url? I don’t know.

In the second part I told you about my decision to become an affiliate marketer. In this part I will tell you more about my life as an internet marketer / affiliate marketer so far.

My experiences with Project Quick Cash
A couple of months ago I bought this product. It was not expensive at the time ($27), right now it’s sells for $77.. So that was an important reason to buy at the time. Another reason was that it was from a famous internet marketer (Alok Jain), and the idea "Quick Cash" sounded good.. I set up the website http://hotnewsaroundtheworld.com/ , in which I planned to incorporate news-items that are searched for using Google. I did a couple of newsitems, and I even got some traffic and comments. So the idea of Project Quick Cash basically worked. I know I can make this work, but at the moment I’m not working actively on this. Then I tried to automate the process of looking at Google Hot Trends, but didn’t succeed, it was too hard even for a programmer like me.

My experiences with phpBay Pro
I bought the product phpBay Pro because I wanted to make niche sites (product specific websites) to offer products that people are interested in. After I bought phpBay Pro, I wanted to register with the Ebay affiliate network. So I tried, but boy, boy was that hard. My application for becoming an eBay affiliate was refused. They didn’t give me a reason. After searching the internet to find out what I had to do, I found out many more people had this problem, it was very hard to get accepted. Basically what I found out was that eBay was written off by lots of people as an easy entry into affiliate marketing.

So I got a little discouraged, and my phpBay product is now gathering dust on my computer… Maybe I will wipe the dust off of it soon, and choose another affiliate network instead of eBay.

The Sony Vaio VGN-TZ31XN is an awesome device, I wholeheartedly recommend a purchase. When you are able to pick one of these up and if you want portability you really can’t do any better!

My experiences: I recently bought one myself, and I’m totally lyrical about it!
I use it everywhere now. At home / in the train. I travel by train everyday (2 hours back and forth), and now I can use a mouse on the drop down table from the seat in front.
I had been watching the "Netbooks" hype, and I looked into these tiny machines, promising ultimate portability without sacrificing performance. Sadly I found out that most of these cheap netbooks do not live up to their promises. The most important thing I missed with these netbooks was a DVD drive / Writer. Advantages: Small, light, long battery life (5 hours!)

I made a new Squidoo Lens about it: Sony VAIO VGN-TZ31XN.

The ultra-portable Sony VAIO VGN-TZ31XN notebook delivers the power of a larger PC in an elegant 11.1" form factor.

I came across a free SEO and Keyword tool, which does almost everything that SEO Elite does and the best part of it is that it is free! The software is called Webceo.

If you are not a new Internet Marketer, chances are that you would probably have used or heard about Brad Callen’s SEO Elite. It’s a great SEO link building tool to boost your Best Home Business Ideas which has helped thousands of online business owners achieve high search engine ranking quickly and easily. Although I can call myself a serious SEO obsessed guy, I have yet to buy this product mainly because it’s pretty expensive and I wanted to look around for an equally good but more affordable one.

In a nutshell, this SEO Keyword tool helps you find keywords, optimize your pages, find your link partners, manage PPC campaigns, shows your link popularity and get you informative traffic reports. That’s quite a lot for something that you get free, don’t you think?

I found this free seo tool easy to setup and I was able to start using the seo software after about 30 minutes as the download does take a bit of time. One of the first things that impressed me though was the voice-simulated tutorials made available to you to fully understand the various topics in this powerful tool in your hands. I found myself replaying some parts of them until I really understood each topic. (thanks to the sweet sounding female voice doing the on-screen training)

I created my first Squidoo Lens today,

Project Quick Cash by Alok Jain

I really did my best on this one. In your life as internet marketer / affiliate marketer,  you should have created a Squidoo lens at least once. If you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about:

Squidoo is a simple way to create simple webpages. It lets you create as many one page webpages as you like. Each one is focused on a single topic - Squidoo calls the web pages you create a “lens” because of this focus.

I also used Pingoat to submit my lens to multiple blogging sites and Pingomatic.

I am curious as to how much traffic this will get!

In the first part I told you about my first time experiences in the internet marketing world. In this part I will tell you more about my experiences. There were so many methods of making money, I had to choose one. So that’s what I did.

I decided I want to be an affiliate marketer. I bought the following product: Project Quick Cash. It is a great product of famous internet marketer Alok Jain, that tells you how to offer products or content based on what is popular at the moment for people searching with Google.

Just like the method said, I set up a new website: http://hotnewsaroundtheworld.com/ , in which I plan to incorporate news-items that are searched for using Google.

Further, I bought the product phpBay Pro, because I want to make niche sites (product specific websites) to offer products that people are interested in. Right now, I’m in the process of registering with an affiliate network, so I can get started…

#1) an article that is about using Clickbank for the product to promote, Squidoo for a free webpage/article, a free keyword tool, submitting the article to article sites, and bookmarking your article with social bookmarking services to draw traffic.

#2)  An article using AdWords for cheap with vouchers, keyword research, a product to promote, getting traffic.

#3) An article about writing articles for money, buying adwords vouchers for cheap, signing up for an affiliate program, doing some keyword research and getting traffic.

I asked myself this question for a long time: Is article submission wrong? Can I submit my articles to multiple article sites? And how does Google see this? Do you get punished by Google with a "duplicate content" penalty if you do this? I found a very good answer here: Is Article Submission Equivalent to Duplicate Content?

For my TiddlyWiki I’ve written a CategorySearchPlugin. I use it to search my TiddlyWiki for categories, and it shows a list for the tiddlers that match. As they say: a picture can say more than 1000 words:

 Just type the tags you want to search for, press "Search on Categories", and you get a list with tiddlers that have the tags. You can type 1 tag or more than one. If you type more than one, for example "theme wordpress", it will search for all tiddlers that have both these tags. To get it installed in your own TiddlyWiki, you need to install:

• CategorySearch and CategorySearchPlugin.
• Give the CategorySearchPlugin plugin the tag "systemConfig".
• ForEachTiddlerPlugin and ForEachTiddlerMacro: only if you’ve haven’t installed them yet from another source. You should have version 1.0.8 of ForEachTiddlerPlugin.
• Give the ForEachTiddlerPlugin plugin the tag "systemConfig".
• Give the ForEachTiddlerMacro tiddler the tags "Documentation ForEachTiddlerMacro Macro"

After you’ve installed them, save your TiddlyWiki, and refresh it with [Ctrl-F5].

I liked the boycook’s TiddlyBlogger macro. What I missed was:

- A way to update a post instead of creating a new one everytime. In this way, I can use my TiddlyWiki as a publishing platform, a wordpress writing tool.
- A way to automatically convert TiddlyLinks into permalinks for my blog.

I changed it myself, this is the result.

• When you make a new post, a custom tag is inserted in the text of the tiddler. After posting to your blog, the postid will be written to the end of the post. For example: [#67#]. In this case 67 is the postid of the new post
• When you update the same post thereafter and hit "publish" again, the TiddlyBlogger macro will read the postid (if it exists), and update the post in your blog (instead of creating a new one).
• When you update an existing post or new post, the macro will search for TiddlyLinks, and replace them with real hyperlinks. For example:
  [[Tiddly Link]] becomes <a href="/tiddly-link">Tiddly Link</a>
